Broken Vase Bracelet
This crystalline pottery bracelet is unique with soft yellows and blues, and accented with blue topaz and golden rutilated quartz. I accidentally broke one of my favorite vases and couldn’t bear to trash it. The bracelet is true wabi sabi - rustic and beautiful. Wear it on a balmy Summer evening while sipping a cold Chardonnay with your besties.
PROCESS:
* I begin with cutting irregular shapes from sterling silver sheet. I then “reticulate” the silver, using a torch to create the unique texture.
* Next, I flatten the shapes and file the edges and to make them smooth and drill for holes for the links.
* I solder on bezels and cut out the backs to show the other side of the unique crystalline pottery.
* I make each tiny link to attach the squares. Once the shapes are joined, I solder each link closed.
* The silver is oxidized and then removed with sandpaper to create the unique patina.
* Finally, I secure the pottery, topaz and quartz into their settings.
* Because of the detail involved, this bracelet takes time to craft.
FEATURES:
* unique crystalline pottery, blue topaz, golden rutilated quartz
* adjustable size
* one-of-a-kind
* hand made by me
CARE
If you need to clean the bracelet, wash gently with liquid soap and water, to retain the dark patina.
