Just as the snowflakes were drifting down, before they deluged into a blizzard, I was digging with my fingers into the cold soil beneath the Gamble Oaks in my yard, looking for intact acorns. The squirrels had eaten 99% of them. The ones that I could find, fell apart in my hands. I carefully carried them into my studio and glued them back together. I cast them in my cool, 40 degree garage, warmed by a large torch, melting scrap sterling silver into a molten mass. It was a lovely snow day. Pair with Silver Acorn Necklace
