Wear these unconventional pearl earrings to your next musical concert. Their artsy nature allows them to fit in equally well at a staid symphony or a lively country music show.
Process: I start by melting sterling silver wire into droplets that fall into a bowl of water to create the “barnacles.” The barnacles are soldered together, & the sterling silver ear posts added. I blacken the silver and remove the patina off the high points to reveal the texture of the barnacles. The silver is then waxed and buffed to a high shine. I suspended the freshwater pearls so that they swing freely.
