“Bubbles in the Net” Sterling Silver Earrings
Although I live high in the Rocky Mountains, my heart has been at the ocean. Recently, I bicycled over 1000 miles along the Pacific Coast and soon I scuba dive in Fiji. So, pearls are showing up in my jewelry (as well as sea glass and sea fossils). Wear these while slurping oysters on the half-shell.
PROCESS: I soldered sterling silver wire together in an irregular grid and hammered the wires flat. I fused sterling silver powder to the “net” to replicate sea textures. I then curved the “net” into a 3D shape that I imagined it would be under water. Finally, I carefully soldered tiny prongs to hold the freshwater pearls.
FEATURES: Freshwater pearls, Light-weight earrings. Completely hand-made by me. Unique, on-of-a-kind jewelry. Pairs well with Bubbles in the Net Earrings, at https://www.ardenrosedesign.com/shop/p/bubblesinthenetring
